The media is a very interesting place. It is filled with so may different things. I have learned so much about the the amount of media I consume and how it impacts my life. The media has impacted my life a ton. It has taught me and caused me to believe things that aren't necessarily true. The media has influenced me to think that men can't have emotions, that they have to keep them locked away within themselves. Being aware of my media consumption causes me to realize when I am being targeted with advertisements by companies. I look at advertisements from a whole new perspective. My media consumption habits have changed quite a bit. I have started to full understand what time wasters are and how to avoid them. I have begun to pay more attention to the little things I see all around the internet. The subtle advertising techniques that companies use have become very noticeable to me. It is very important to have media literacy because you will be able to full examine the media. You will begin to understand advertisements and the internet. Another important thing is being an educated consumer. If you are not an educated consumer you will have absolutely zero clue what you're getting from the products that you buy. You will fall right into the hands of the company that is trying to sell you their product. This media log has taught me so many things. I have learned so much about marketing techniques and tools. I have learned about demographics and psychographics. I have become more aware of details that are hidden within the media. Furthermore this media blog has caused me to full understand what the media is and why media literacy is important.
